A lot has happened since the public meeting of the 2nd February. Knee-jerk local sewer network inspections on 3rd Feb, Gazette and Essex County Standard news stories on 8th & 9th Feb, Anglia TV news coverage on 11th & 12th Feb, and a strongly worded letter from our MP to the CEO of Anglian Water. You can read Sir Bernard's letter and Peter Simpson's unsatisfactory reply on the LPC website here, together with other updates since the meeting. We will keep pressing for more urgent action to protect the village.
You can do your bit to assist by helping us improve our database of recent and historic flooding events from across the village, by filling in our online form with your own personal experiences. We have good records of incidents around Moor Road and Chapel Road, but much more sketchy information for other roads and homes that have been affected (eg. Wick Road, Perry Lane, School Road, Discovery Way etc.)
